I get asked this question a lot by my couples who are planning their weddings: do I think you need all 3 vendors (content creators, videographers, and photographers) on your wedding day? Here’s the thing, each of these vendors serves their own purpose. Obviously, photography is a non-negotiable :). Content creation can be a great, cost-effective alternative to videography. Videography will deliver you a timeless product that you can enjoy forever, not just on your phone. But personally, I don’t think you need content creation AND videographers at your wedding. They serve a very similar purpose, and unless you want every single second recorded of your wedding day from every angle imaginable (which you very well might and that’s totally ok!) it can get very overwhelming for all parties involved to have 2 videographers, a content creator (and potentially an assistant) and 2 photographers following them around during the day. It can be up to 6 people and so many cameras pointed at you, everybody struggling to have their own space to make sure they’re delivering their very best for you, and I’ve had couples in the past say they wish they didn’t hire such a big team.
If you are having a huge 250+ wedding, it might be necessary. But for the average sized wedding, I wouldn’t recommend having content creation AND videography! It’s up to you to decide how you want your day to go, so I have recommendations for both vendors. Feel free to reach out if you are in need of help finding good ones!
